i happened to come across these beautiful things the other day, and on sale. i definitely started chipping away at that credit card in a block of ice, but came to my senses and didn't order anything. that dragonfly though.... *sigh*
you know those Kia (i think?) commercials where the little hamster in a red car taps its paw to the beat? there's a couple different versions, with different songs, and i really like one of them. i found that song, downloaded it, and now its stuck in my head haha. so i was in photoshop at work, and these are my layers.
gotta have fun with the layer names ;)
sooooo... if I made lime green converse with apples on it OR black and white converse with that tattoo lettering on it... would anyone actually pay for either of those pairs? should i do it?
(and dont worry, i didnt forget about yours, infinitevoid hehe)
oh and here's a random picture you guys. i found it on the intarnets :P
yea yea, it's not 15 minutes or anything haha but it's still pretty amusing
Ok, they're finished! These are for InkGarden, and she asked for a Hermes/Mercury theme.
So let's see what we have here... of course there's wings on the outside of the shoes. On the inside, the converse logo is converted into the planetary symbol for Mercury. The 2 symbols that make up the "eyes" (haha) are gold (on the left) and the alchemical 'squaring the circle'. The latin on the left shoe is "hydrargyrum facit aurum" which means 'mercury makes gold'. Also, the outside of the shoes is supposed to be all fluid, as if moving through the wind. Oh and the shoelaces haha.. they're made of really thin metal strands. Too bad I couldn't get real gold ones, but this was close enough and still kinda expensive hahaha :P
Sooo yeaaa. They're done! My second pair of shoes :) What do you guys think?
Got next pair already lined up too, yay!
yep, another preview. these are inkgarden's shoes. she asked for a Hermes theme (the greek god not the designer haha) and i did a variation on that, since his roman name is Mercury.
so there's a wing and the design of the shoe is to look like its going thru wind. yes no? i personally like it so far, but i'm redoing the inside of the wing.
oh and... its gonna have special laces of course.
Sweet, the super cute cupcake cafe (www.sweetcupcakes.com), just opened another location in Harvard Square! So we finally got a chance to check it out. Didn't get any photos from the outside, but here are some cupcakes. We got a red velvet and a cappuccino one. My red velvet one was delicious and moist, but the cappuccino one was really dry and the cream didn't have a good flavor. What a bust :P
Anyways, here are some photos from my crappy cellphone cam. yay! :)
from left to right, that's: lemonade, red velvet, pina colada, and chocolate and vanilla ones with cute bugs on top
yesss, they're finished. hope they still look ok! haha
here are some of the "features":
+ shoe laces are raspberry-colored ribbons, doubled. might triple them though
+ back of shoe has 'waffle' pattern
+ left shoe says "love it baby" on the outside. right shoe says "love it love it" hehehe
anything else i forgot i'll have to add laterrr.
soooo yeaa, how do they look?
<3
sooo yea, this is my first drawing on shoesss. how is it so far? not too bad i hope... what do you guys think? >.> i dont know if these are up to par with inkgarden's.. but i hope so because we're gonna be working together. hur dur dur :P i obviously have a lot of catching up to do but how does it look so far?
